Last night Pratt’s GAUD hosted an informal Pratt Parallels entitled From House to Icon on Governor’s Island. The discussion was moderated by David Erdman and Deborah Mesa and compared and contrasted Marcelo Spina’s new book Mute Icons with Nader’s new book My House is Better Than Your House.

NADAAA’s Harry Lowd is joining Island Exterior Fabricators’ Montgomery Forman, Payette’s Jeffrey Abramson, and Behnisch Architeckten’s Michelle Lee on the panel Performance, Net Zero & Facade Design on Campus moderated by Studio NYL’s Chris O’Hara. The panel will include case studies of Amherst’s new Science Center, Harvard University’s Science and Engineering Complex and NADAAA’s recently completed MIT Site 4 and delve into high performance envelope design.
