Spectrum Celebrates the Future of Kendall Square

Spectrum, MIT’s publication for friends and supporters, recently provided an update on the future Kendall Square. Here, MIT President Rafael Reif explained that the boundaries between campus, community, education and entrepreneurship will blur. “Once the cranes leave town, we’ll be left with a Kendall Square full of possibility for the Institute, the region, the nation, and the world… If you haven’t been to Kendall Square recently, I hope you’ll stop by for a visit. NADAAA brings home three SARA National Design Awards

The 2018 SARA National Design Awards saw three of NADAAA’s projects honored. Beaver Country Day School Research + Design Center, Villa Varoise (Dortoir Familial) and the Tanderrum Bridge earned a Design Award of Merit, Honor Award, and Award of Excellence respectively.

60 Waterman Ground-Breaking

On October 5th RISD’s new Residence Hall officially broke ground! We are excited to announce we have been working with RISD to design this new addition to the Freshman Quad after having completed the Master Plan for the Quad early last year. Justice in Design is the Overall Winner in the Fast Co. 2018 Innovation by Design Social Good Category! Find out more about this collaboration with the Van Alen Institute on our blog HERE.

Daniels + Seoul Cinematheque to receive 2018 BSA Awards

NADAAA’s design for the Daniels Building at The University of Toronto is receiving a 2018 Honor Award for Design Excellence and the Seoul Cinematheque is receiving a 2018 Unbuilt Architecture and Design Award from the Boston Society of Architects. The level of the awards will be announced at the BSA Gala event in January. See you there!
